Alternative
Animal Sanctuary
The Alternative
Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit making organisation, which cares
for abandoned and unwanted animals. Although they are not a registered
charity they do need sponsorship to help with the upkeep of the
many residents. All money raised goes straight to the upkeep of
the animals. No animals are put down, other than for humanitarian
reasons, and they stayat the sanctuary for life.
If you wish to help you can sponsor an animal or use shopping links
where a percentage of the money spent will go straight to the sanctuary.

Of particular concern was the large annual losses of cetaceans as

Canine
Crusaders, Cornwall
...The amount
of unwanted dogs in Cornwall has reached crisis point. Every Rescue
Home in the county is full - with a waiting list which is growing
by the day. Very soon, the unthinkable may happen to some of these
unfortunate, innocent dogs. We are no exception - the list of dogs
we have on our books has never been longer. PLEASE consider offering
a dog a temporary Foster Home whilst he waits for his "second-chance"..

Greyhound
Action ...
... is working
hard to end the horrific abuse of Greyhounds used in the racing
industry, not only in the UK and Ireland but around the world. GA
is not a rich charity, it is simply a collection of individuals
who care about greyhounds and have come together in order to work
to end their suffering and exploitation. In the relatively short
time GA has existed as a grassroots organisation based on people
power, and have been extraordinarily successful, winning several
campaigns against new tracks, forming local groups, persuading firms
not to take outings to dogtracks, researching the industry and producing
free leaflets, posters and stickers. All the time spreading information
and challenging the false image that greyhound racing is a caring
industry that is just a bit of fun.
