How to Share This Planet With Thw Animals

Humanity continues to bulldoze its way through animal habitats across the world ...

... and it's all too easy to forget that (which we ironically call evolution) we are invading and destroying the natural homelands of other species at an alarming rate ... In nearly all cases the animals were there first, not us.

Ploughing roads through woodlands and meadows - in fact, any natural terrain means that at some time in your life you are most likely going to kill or maim an animal while driving ... and perhaps without even realizing it. As more and more normally shy, reclusive animals and birds are forced out of the last remaining pockets of their natural habitat, it's becoming more evident that their nature, or behaviour is also changing. They forage closer to populated areas as forests are felled and towns expand. Road building, which comes hand in hand with this encroachment, adds to the devastation of life simply through hundreds of thousands of road-kill incidents daily.
E
ven at home, your family pet care routine may well need to be revised to ensure their long-term well-being, because after a while companion animals in busy lifestyle families can been taken far too much for granted.
Most people take their local wildlife for granted as well. In your garden, a trendy and therefore environmentally careless make-over means you risk destroying birds nests or animal burrows and hence their breeding cycles**.
Wildlife is seriously in decline and pet abandonment /abuse is on the increase. So whether it be companion animals or wild animals, we need to be regularly reminded that we should regard their welfare with up-most importance ... and simply don't end up taking them for granted.
Here, VeggieGlobal presents an ongoing page of tips and guidance to help you conserve and protect animal life inside and outside the home.
As a routine of our everyday life, it's time for us all to consciously share and care about the little space left on this planet - where animals struggle more each day to survive.
