A.P.M.A
- Belgian Animal Welfare
We
are A.P.M.A Belgian Animal Welfare (Animal Rights) and are involved
in the problem of experimentation on animals. Our main target is
to encourage and develop the alternative methods as a replacement
of experiments on the animals and their validation.
Other targets: a campaign of spaying, neutering and releasing our
stray cats. We also feed them and give them little houses. We try
to find a new home for rejected dogs and cats.
We also give financial help to a Romanian stray-dogs shelter in
order to feed them. We are the Dutch representatives of Interniche
(www.interniche.org)
Our registration number in the Moniteur Belge is 11675/79.

Adopt-A-Landmine
...
Landmines don‘t ‘just‘ kill 19,000 children and adults every year.
They deny land so that people can‘t grow enough food or access clean
water, refugees can‘t return home, and children can‘t go to school.
Ł1 clears approximately one square metre of minefield. One minefield
at a time, we can give people the opportunity to reclaim their lives.
Please help.

ANIMALS - MALTA
We desperately need help. Our present financial situation is Lm
200 maltese lira. We have several animals in our custody and WE
NEVER PUT AN ANIMAL DOWN JUST BECAUSE THERE IS A SHORTAGE OF FUNDS.
WE BUY FOOD AND ARE OFFERED VET SERVICES ON CREDIT SO THAT WE CAN
PAY WHEN FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. Presently we have financial commitments
amounting to around Lm3000 maltese lira. Can you help? One of the
custodians of SOS ANIMALS MALTA - FOUNDATION OF ST. FRANCIS FOR
THE ANIMALS - HAS 121 CATS AND FIVE DOGS. All rescued. We hope that
one day we would have enough funds to build Malta's first animal
hospital. Presently all donations are utilised to help sick and
injured animals. Our motto is COMPASSION AND SELFLESSNESS. THE ANIMALS
COME FIRST.

STRAYS ASSOCIATION
...
S.O.S.Strays main goal is to improve of the welfare of stray animals
in (mostly) South-European countries. They are often ill-treated
and cruelly exterminated when they become too numerous. We want
to inform you about the appauling conditions and treatment strays
are subjected to at your holiday-destination and we try to improve
their situation through our actions. Our site presents some
dogs who are already sheltered but
who are waiting for a lovely family to adopt them. We also try to
financially
help some local animal welfare societies
in their work on the streets: such as neutering campaigns, curing
and sheltering of strays in acute distress.
