Businesses - Add a CauseClick button to the grid.
You will be thanked via a link (or address) to your business for one year.
Please read the important information
below first...
(Individuals

Only businesses whose philosphies harmonise
with good-cause issues promoted on Looking-Glass and VeggieGlobal are
invited to add a link to the CauseClick Grid.
Therefore, to abide with ethics of this
site the following types of businesses or organizations are not permissible:
Gambling.
Pornographic.
Religious.
Political.
Pet Traders and similar.
Meat or Fish Companies.
Firearms and weaponry manufacturers, suppliers, clubs etc.
Business manufacturing items using wood from unsustainable forests.
Looking-Glass and VeggieGlobal's unique
and fun "CauseClick" grid wants to give small, lesser-known
good-cause projects a much fairer chance of being seen on the web, so
please make your first link choice an organization or project that's
providing a more hands-on and dedicated service than perhaps some of
the major charities. This is exactly the reason why the grid is not
called what would seem the more obvious name of "CharityClick"!
Small registered charities are of course acceptable, but please see
the following list of what is not acceptable.
YOU CANNOT LINK A CAUSE CLICK
BUTTON TO:
Charities that test on animals.
Charities that deal with self-inflicted conditions like smoking and
obesity.
Religious organizations.
Groups or organizations that incite violence.
Groups or organizations that exploit animals.
Commercially run businesses (rare exceptions considered*).
Dedicate your button to a loved
one or "in memoriam" to a colleague, animal or lost habitat.
Wave your mouse over these examples for
an idea of how your button linked to your favourite cause could read:
As you can see, your message doesn't have
to relate to the type of cause you are linking to. (In fact, you must
not write the name of the linked cause in your message! See why in Q&As
below) So, for example you might like to dedicate an environmental link
to a deceased pet, family member or work colleague etc. Or else, you
can dedicate your link to living pets, family, partners and friends.
BUT BE WARNED ... NO COMMERCIAL NAMES! - Any attempt to advertise product
or business will void the text on your button. Please remember that
your company name will be displayed and linked to on the thank you page.
CauseClick is not an automated system
and all links are reviewed before being manually added to the link grid
(normally within 72 hours).
If the website you have chosen is not suitable, a link will not be added.
Your donation will not be refunded, so make sure you only submit links
to reputable charities and groups that will most likely be accepted
on the grid. (For further details see above, and read the terms and
conditions when applying.)
Every 100th business sponsored link
added means that VeggieGlobal & Looking-Glass will award 1000 British
pounds to a randomly selected organization on the CauseClick grid.
Each 10x10 pixel link that you as a business
wish to add requires a Paypal donation of 50 UK Pounds (approx 91 USD
or 72 EUR)

Always Asked Questions
Q.
What kind of exposure does my business get for adding a link?
A. On the bottom of every
CauseClick page you'll see link saying Business
Sponsored CauseClick Listing ...
This is a "thank you" page with an A to Z list of participating
businesses. Providing your application is accepted (see above), this
list will include your name, which will be linked to your own business's
website. The link will remain there for one year from receipt of your
application. You may be a shop, restuarant or small firm without a website,
but don't worry, because your address and phone number can still be
placed on the thank you page.
Q.
If there is already a link to my chosen cause on the grid, can I add
another one?
A. Yes of course! In fact,
the more buttons a single organization has linking to them, the more
chance there is of them being clicked on! You can request more than
one link to your favourite cause in one Paypal transaction. Just choose
"Any Amount" on the Paypal payment options. I.e. if you want two links
then pay double etc. A star will be added next to your name on the thank
you page for each extra CauseClick link your business adds.
Q.
Why don't the buttons on the grid say what
good-cause they are linking to?
A. Well actually, that's
the masterstroke! … It makes people click on the link to see where it
leads them! If the the links were named, then people would be looking
to choose specific or familiar organizations. But this way, every charity
or good-cause group gets a fair share of the clicks … and it encourages
people who would otherwise not have thought of looking at your chosen
organization's web site to maybe explore and get involved!
Looking-Glass and VeggieGlobal want to encourage visitors to extend
their outlook, as to what good-cause missions around the entire planet
need just as much attention as those in their own locality or country.
Remember, hundreds of unknown and seriously under-funded groups, shelters
and rescuers in some parts of the world are trying to run life (and
planet) saving missions - and they need you to know about them.
A group trying to save a rare snake in India should be just as important
to us all as a cat rescue centre in England Or an ophanage in Nepal
should be just as important as a domestic violence shelter in California
... and so on. So, to create level playing field, CauseClick is a "novelty"
with an exclusively fair purpose.
Occassionaly Asked Questions
Q.
Where does my donation go when I use CauseClick?
A. CauseClick is the main
donation area of Looking-Glass and VeggieGlobal - a huge non-profit
web project which runs many good-cause support programmes, campaigns
and free information resources. Although these sites help to highlight
and actively work with various animal, environmental and humanitarian
issues they receive no funding whatsoever. Your small donation via Cause-Click
will help towards trying to keep this mission afloat. Non-profit websites
of all kinds commonly ask for donations, but please remember that CauseClick
is unique, because every 100 CauseClicks added to this grid Looking-Glass
and VeggieGlobal will award a randomly chosen good-cause 100 British
Pounds. And for every 100 business sponsored links added, 1000 British
Pounds will be awarded.
Every week, tens of thousands of people visit and use the free good-cause
resources of Looking-Glass and VeggieGlobal, but donations are hardly
ever forthcoming. CauseClick's unique, reciprocal system with rewarding
benefits should help to go some way towards solving this critical problem.

The only type of commercially run business that
may be considered for the CauseClick grid are companies running highly
environmentally friendly projects on a narrow profit margin - for example
Greenseat, a company that plants trees to help compensate for the Co2
emissions you create when flying. Please note that any "commercial
profit-making " organizations that on rare occasions may be allowed
on the CauseClick grid are not eligible for the 100 GBP or 1000 GBP
award.
