Guardian Angel
I have an
amazing story about my old German Shepherd dog named Bruiser.
He has been through so much in his 9 years.
At two he contracted parvo & hookworm. The vet told me he had the kiss
of death and was not going to make it. I kept him in the hospital for
about a week and he pulled through. Then when he was five a little girl
threw him a ball and it got lodged in his throat. He was on his last breath
but the ball suddenly popped out from his mouth. The most amazing brush
with death was around three years ago when he contracted a deadly disease
called Blastomycosis. It can be deadly to your pet and is a fungus that
contracted simply through inhaling.
Bruiser lost 30lbs. He had blood blisters all over his body and went blind
in his left eye from the disease. He also had to have part of his front
toe removed. He was going through seizures every day. I took him to the
local animal hospital and subsequently drove 4 hours everyday to visit
him. After two weeks there they sent him home and told me there was nothing
more they could do for him.
However, before he got ill, I had given him a guardian angel dog pendent.
When I got him home he was still just as sick and had to be force feed
and given pills all day long. He had this disease for 6 months. Then the
vet informed me the disease had finally gone away and he would get better.
I put Bruiser in the car and went back in to pay the bill. When I came
back out he was sitting in the front seat. Somehow the pendent around
his neck had broken in half so that one part stayed on his collar. It
was a true miracle!
The guardian angel pendent had served its purpose.
Today Bruiser is doing wonderfully.
Now he is more stubborn than ever and he has such a strong will to live
and stay with me.
He is my very best friend.
